Volunteers

FACILITATOR: (Additional “Volunteer Affidavit Form” required*)

Responsible for the facilitating a small group of 6 RYLArians throughout the camp.
Must be at camp from 4pm Friday through close of camp on Sunday at 2pm.
Must be available for a four hour facilitator training on Saturday, January 31, 2009 from 8 am to 12 pm.

CAMP PREP TEAM:

Work one day the weekend before camp opens to prepare the camp site for occupancy – cleaning cabins, restrooms, cleaning and setting up Long House, etc.
Approx. 6 hours to complete these tasks. Shifts 9am-12pm and/or 12-3pm.

SUPPLIES ACQUISION TEAM:

Using your vehicle (an SUV, van or truck is ideal) pick up various donated supplies at various businesses in Kihei, Kahului, and Wailuku and transport supplies to Camp Maluhia.
Friday, February 6 from 10am - 2pm

SET UP TEAM:

Assist with camp set up of kitchen, Long House, Registration area, Cabin prep, Bus Arrival Area.
Friday, February 6 from 10am - 2pm

REGISTRATION TEAM:

CHAPERONES: (Additional “Volunteer Affidavit Form” required*)

Stay in the cabins each night with the campers to make sure they are safe and remain inside cabins.
Wake up campers each morning so they are ready for breakfast. Should be able to stay up all night to ensure safety of campers.
Shift would be 11pm-7am. FRIDAY or SATURDAY or BOTH NIGHTS

NIGHT PATROL: (Additional “Volunteer Affidavit Form” required*)

KITCHEN TEAM:

Help Lead Cook prepare and serve 6 meals plus snacks during the camp.
Need to arrive at least 90 minutes before each mealtime and remain 30 minutes after for clean-up.

MEALTIMES: Breakfast is at 7am; Lunch is at 12Noon; Dinner is at 6pm.

CAMP ASSISTANTS:

Assist Director and Curriculum Coordinator with camp details as they arise during camp.
Four hour shifts (or more if desired)
